I guess I'll post this to tech-talk, others may be interested ...

The XYCOM 566 drivers determine what input mode you selected by expecting the
following addresses ...

XYCOM MODE CSR Addr Data RAM Addr

  Single ended A16: 0x6000 A24: 0x000000 (card 0)
   (scanned) A16: 0x6400 A24: 0x010000 (card 1)
                          etc

  Differential A16: 0x7000 A24: 0x040000 (card 0)
    (scanned) A16: 0x7400 A24: 0x050000 (card 1)
                          etc

  Differential A16: 0xe000 A24: 0x0c0000 (card 0)
  (Latched,requires A16: 0xe400 A24: 0x0d0000 (card 1)
  a ext trigger) etc

  Waveform Mode A16: 0x9000 A24: 0x080000 (card 0)
   (Waveform A16: 0x9400 A24: 0x090000 (card 1)
    Record) etc

The Device Type selected in DCT (SE Scanned, Dif Scanned, Dif Latched) must
match the way you addressed the card. Four cards are supported for each
type. "Signal" goes from 0 to 15 (differential) or 0-31 (SE). Parameter is
ignored.

Interrupt Level 5 will work (I believe).

The input jumpers for each type are a real challenge and left as an
exercise for the user (I don't have a board handy, sorry). However, the
above info will stop you from having to grep through modules_types.h, like
some of us have had to do !!

One more thing ... Don't blame me, I didn't write it !!!!
