I should also point out that Til Strauman <strauman@SLAC.Stanford.EDU> 
has implemented a full C-expression parser + lookup utility for
RTEMS.   I've not had time to see how hard it would be to integrate this 
into iocsh.  I keep hoping that Til will get tired of waiting for me and 
merge this himself  :-)
