I have two problems that I am not sure how to solve. 1. write a counted array of bytes containing numeric values to the crate controller. What record type is well suited for that? Waveform and genSub are the ones I'd look at first. 2. Also, What record type should I use to read an array of bytes from the crate controller? Waveform. Unrelated question is, Is it possible to modify a field value in a record from within a subroutine? To be more specific, I have a sub record and from its process subroutine I want to modify a field in another record. Can that be done? Yes, but it's not a good idea to do it. Better to use the genSub record, because it has output links. Thanks, Zen
