Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I put up a howto page on the issue (using
linux-gpib with EPICS) in the EPICS Wiki:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/wiki/index.php/How_to_use_GPIB_ports_with_linux-gpib_and_StreamDevice
It features all the details of the setup of linux-gpib, as well as
instructions on how to test/verify connectivity using ibtest.
Let me know if those instructions work for you.
-Stefan
