Pete,
The first thing I would try is to change the CP flags into a NPP.
It should work in your case, given the value of your calc's SCAN and the
fact that all of your records are located in the same IOC.
The difference between CP and NPP (you may already know that) is that
you use a channel access link (monitor) or a database link. Those are
two fundamentally different ways to fetch the value of a PV.
