Good point Mark. I forgot about that one.

Huijuan,

Your MAXv firmware must be ver:1.29 or
greater. With earlier firmware versions there was
an intermittent initialization problem.

You can determine the MAXv firmware by
issuing the following command at the VxWorks
prompt;

iocNoAsyn> dbior "drvMAXv"
Driver: drvMAXv
Oms MAXv motor card #0 @ 0xf0a00000, id: MAXv-8000 ver:1.31, s/n:000274, FPGA:B1:A6 BOOT:1.1 - Oregon Micro Systems value = 0 = 0x0

Ron,
Isn't there a problem with an older version of the maxV not finding boards on reboot sometimes? Mark

Hello,
It gets more weird today.
I get "controller is not running. motor_init_record_com(): card does not
exit!" errors. The LED on IOvMAX board is green.
With dbior, I get the following:
Oms MAXv motor card #0 @ 0x9FFFF000, id:
I tried reboot and still the same.

Regards,
Huijuan

Hello Huijuan,

Is this a stepper or DC motor?

Since you mention the ERES field, I'm guessing this is a DC
motor. What is the value of the MIP field when the motor
is stuck in the Moving state?

Hello,

I'm using OMS MAXv motion controller. The motor record version is 6.3.

The motor worked well several days ago with this version but goes
weird when I use it today.

RBV field can't update automatically. I have to reset the MRES or ERES

field and just the two fields to update RBV.

MOVN kept 1 all the time after motor began its first moving. DMOV does

not reset to 1 after position is reached.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Huijuan
