Sorry @ all for the late response.

I finally figuerd the problem out. My HV boxes can at once output messages with a maximum of 582 bytes. When the output is longer, it is parted in chunks. When Epics got the first chunk it expected this to be the entire response. And the next chunk was then regarded as response to the next request. Setting bigger values for the readtimeout did the trick!
