I have been trying to build this on the OSX platform since your original posting concerning an IOS version from way before Christmas and while it never generates any error messages, it also never seems to actually build the correct libraries to link against. I’m sure that there is some minor obvious detail that I am missing – or there is some aspect that fails attempting to use one or more the latest and greatest versions of the OS, xcode, packages, or sources.
Could you *please* state the exact version of OSX your building on, the version of Xcode, as well as where you got the versions of QT, qwt, etc from? The docs are from last year – do we *really* need to be trying this with EPICS sources/packages from 2011 and a version of QT that predates IOS support? Have you tried this recently on a virgin, baseline, system?
Me
Dear all,
Version 3.8.9 of caQtDM is available for linux, windows, macOS and IOS (Ipad). The IOS version 3.8.9 can be downloaded from the apple store (new version in about one week).
Now this version also includes a simple tool called edl2ui to convert edm files to ui files. caQtDM follows the philosophy of MEDM and thus not all features of EDM can be integrated. edl2ui is therefore a simplified conversion tool and while at PSI EDM is not used, it could not be really fully tested. However it is quite easy to modify and add forgotten items and properties (see parserClass.cc in directory parserEDM). This could be done by the interested laboratories. Please return then to us the changes made.
Give me some feedback if you are using caQtDM.
Best regards
