I've recently built base 3.15.3 and 3.15.5 on the RPi (Pixel, raspbian
jessie) defining only EPICS_HOST_ARCH. No additional installs were
needed IIRC.
you might examine:
file caput
to verify it has the correct architecture.

Hi,
How about using the binary
/home/pi/epics/base-3.15.5/bin/linux-arm/caget, instead of the perl
script version?
~/epics/base-3.15.5/bin/linux-arm $ ./caget
-bash: ./caget: cannot execute binary file
Okay, this seems like I built wrong binaries.
Instead of cross-compiling, you can compile epics base on RPi as well.
I tried that, but for some odd reason `make` entered some weird loop
compiling same files over and over.
I've checked versions of all the build-env stuff and it seemed ok.
I guess I'll just have to figure out why building on Pi doesn't work
properly then.
Kind regards,
Nick.
