It sounds like you are using caLab as a CA client. caLab can also be used as a CA server (CaLabSoftIOC.vi). If you serve the PV from the labview side, you may be able to provide the time stamp to the record directly from your labview device support for your digitizer. And then propagate this time stamp to the other records via TSEL.
