You need to do either one of these things:

- Install the readline development package on Debian.  Perhaps called readline-devel or something similar.

- Edit /usr/local/epics/base/configure/os/CONFIG_SITE.Common.linux-x86_64 to use the EPICS readline version instead of the system package.

Subject: Cant compile makeBaseApp.pl directories with make

Hello, im kind of newbie into EPICS and im trying to understand how to create an IOC with the EPICS getting started tutorials. I created the $HOME/EPICS/TEST/testIoc directory on a debian 9 docker container and used the makeBaseApp.pl command to create the example app. however, when i use the make command, i get the following error:
