Hello Beag,

Typically, the "Boot ROMS" section of "WindRiver/vxworks-6.x/target/config/mv5500/target.ref" file provides info for the bootrom of the BSP including how to flash.

The firmware used to flash the bootrom is called MOTLoad, so looking for a PDF version of "MOTLoad Firmware Package User's Manual" online may help.

I think another thing to consider is whether the MVME5500 you have is the same as the latest MVME5500 product. I remember the 2014 version of MVME5500 upgraded the Ethernet controller from Intel 82544 to Intel 82545, not sure if the current version has any further hardware upgrade.

I solved this error and try to set client, server, gateway, subnet ip address.

It was because of “Warning: Global Environment Variable Area is uninitialized, use gevInit.”

I did it gevInit and pressed Y, it changed.

 

 

Btw there’s no way how to change subnet IP address mask.

How can I know the command?

 

I already changed cliend as cipa, server as sipa, gateway as gipa.

Hello all,

Currently, we are using the mvme6100 model. However, we heard that it will be discontinued. We would like to secure an additional 5500 or 3300 model for maintenance. However, before purchasing, we would like to make sure that the mvme5500 we have is compatible with vxworks6.9 os.

As for the jumper setting, I set the jumper j8 to flash1 as told here.
