In pvData, we have PVStructures which I guess define data structures, and Structures which have something to do with introspection.

What exactly is the difference? In the docs, there is no real explanation of why we need both types, and what the difference is. Can one convert one to the other? Can someone explain this in a sentence or two? 

I have been writing pvData code that works, but only by following examples, and not really understanding the point of Structure vs PVStructure.
