CAEX: Channel Access Examples

Two example channel access programs are provided in this EPICS extension.

Dopi

Dopi is a Dumb OPI CA client. It

1. converts channel name to a channel id,
2. writes an array of values to the channel if provided, and
3. reads out an array of values from the channel and prints them.

Usage

dopi <channel name> [<write val[0]>,<write val[1]>,...]

Handshake

handshake is an example CA client which handshakes with another copy of itself.

Usage

handshake <listen channel> <reply channel>
