Another nice feature of conserver is that the local daemon can redirect clients to daemons running on other machines. So you can attach to procServ instances running on other hosts directly without needing (or allowing) ssh access.
For our test lab we have some RTEMS iocs and soft iocs on several hosts. The method for connection and logging is uniform.
