Good morning,

How cool is that, by the time I wake up, the world-wide EPICS community in different timezones already solved the problem.

The PYTHON_CONFIG indeed needs to be included in the IOC build, as it needs to link to Python libraries. This may also be affected by different Python distributions and versions, Linux distributions don’t make it easier as they have different ways to support Python2 vs Python3. I’ll revisit the documentation at https://github.com/klemenv/PyDevice#adding-pydevice-support-to-ioc, but please suggest edits as I don’t have access to all Linux distributions.
