In this application a RELEASE file defines
      ADCORE = /home/hugovalim/SOL/tmp/areaDetector/ADCore
but SUPPORT at /usr/local/epics-nfs/modules/R3.15.6/synApps/R6.1/support/ defines
      ADCORE = /usr/local/epics-nfs/modules/R3.15.6/synApps/R6.1/support/areaDetector-R3-7/ADCore

This error means that in synApps/support/configure/RELEASE you have defined AREA_DETECTOR, ADCORE, and ADSUPPORT to point to /usr/local/epics-nfs/modules/R3.15.6/synApps/R6.1/support/areaDetector-R3-7.
You need to fix those to point to your location outside of synApps, /home/hugovalim/SOL/tmp/areaDetector.

Hello,

I'm trying to compile areaDetector outside a synApps, but I'm using all modules except AD from it. I defined a new path for area detector in the RELEASE_LIBS.local and RELEASE_PRODS.local like so:



AREA_DETECTOR=/home/hugovalim/SOL/tmp/areaDetector

# ADSupport is needed by ADCore plugins
ADSUPPORT=$(AREA_DETECTOR)/ADSupport

# ADCORE for base classes and plugins
ADCORE=$(AREA_DETECTOR)/ADCore



But when a try to compile it, it seems to have a conflict with the macro $(AREA_DETECTOR) that is defined inside the synApps, the error is that:



Definition of ADCORE conflicts with SUPPORT support.
In this application a RELEASE file defines
      ADCORE = /home/hugovalim/SOL/tmp/areaDetector/ADCore
but SUPPORT at /usr/local/epics-nfs/modules/R3.15.6/synApps/R6.1/support/ defines
      ADCORE = /usr/local/epics-nfs/modules/R3.15.6/synApps/R6.1/support/areaDetector-R3-7/ADCore
